Christmas
December 18, 2005
Darren was fruitful yet again. Santa was good to him this year. His favourite toy is his Geo Trax electric train set. Everyone who comes through the door has to come and see his train because he greets everyone at the door and tells them so. Most people don't understand him but that's ok. We went on the Stanley Park train which of course Darren was in love with. We saw all the firemen and all the shiny lights. Dave and I went to our respective work Christmas Parties and enjoyed being together. We received some great gifts and mingled the nights away. Here's a pic of Darren and Emily on Christmas Day! Today I went clothes shopping and bought a couple of office type tops and pants and a couple of outfits for Hawaii and Spring. Motherhood Maternity in Guildford shopping mall. At least they have regular women's sizes there. Here it's all size 0 for maternity which is ridiculous.

December
December 03, 2005
Well I've been sick since the 9th. It all started while watching Narnia, the movie. I went from normal to bad in three hours. I couldn't swallow because it hurt so bad and I couldn't drink my cold drink. That went away only to be replaced with life draining sleepiness and a plugged nose. There are moments when you feel like it's over and then it hits you again. I've experienced this 4 or 5 times in the last 8 days. The nights are worse because you can't sleep so you stare at the ceiling for hours and then when you finally get exhausted enough to sleep it's time to wake up. Darren is my wake up call at 7:30 every morning. We've spent the last week together and truth be told he's been a dream to have around. We've got a good routine down now where he watches tv and I sleep on the couch next to him. He pretends he's sick by using a blanket and pillow like mommy does. I'm pregnant too! I'm due June 9th but I think it will be born around May 28th. Everything is going well on that front and I couldn't be more happier about that. The down side is that I cannot take any medication for my ailment except Tylenol. So I suffer longer than everyone else. I've also lost too much weight which is not good for me or the baby. The thing I look forward to is eventually it will end. Christmas is coming and Darren's laughter will make it all the more happier.

Christmas Tree
Today we got our first cut tree from Shroeder's Tree Farm in Aldergrove. It was Darren's first real fun with snow because he doesn't remember the last time he saw snow. He was confused at first but soon he was jumping and laying in it. All while we were hunting for the perfect tree. Here's a picture of Darren's Halloween costume. Tomorrow we get to decorate it while it snows outside.
