Another weekend gone and the yard is taking shape. Bought more plants and Marty gave them homes. We have the shed moved to the back of the lot where we watched a guy use a tractor to load the gravel and level it somewhat. There's a boxwood hedge lined in front of that gravel. Soon there will be a ramp so that I can drive the tractor into my new shed (which I haven't bought yet). We used the cinder blocks to build a compost bin on the sunny side of the gravel pit. I also now have a blueberry bush.

Here's some pictures of our yard transforming before our eyes. Darren is crazy in love with his new play yard, especially the slide.

We're back from vacation. Darren went to Vernon with his grandparents and we went on a trip to Vegas and cruise up to Vancouver. Everyone is doing fine. Our backyard is being remodelled at the moment and our weekends are being filled with that. Darren is getting a new play yard and we're getting a new lawn and vegetable garden. So there'll be more to do in the backyard when we're done with it. Our roommate Marti is doing wonderful magic back there with his gardening skills.

Here's what he's done to the front yard. He added all the flowers on the one huge mound (Dalias and such) and he's added to the garden I planted last year.

He's planted 32 Dalias that grow about 4 feet high and lots of ground flowers and ground covers. Should be fantastic to see when they reach their full potential.
