Well we're off and running early tomorrow. Wish us luck! I'll recount our adventures when I get back and some pictures to show off of Darren's first camping experience.

In two days we'll be off again to the Oregon coast for a week. This time Darren will experience his parents true love....camping! We shall tent in the outdoors and show him all our favourite spots. A lovely switch will be the temperature because it gets cold down there at night instead of hot. He'll like that for sure. He doesn't take too kind to the heat I'm afraid. Dave & I saw Pirates of the Caribbean and it was enjoyable to watch. Johnny Depp actually acted well for once. Dave's mom babysat our little darling and enjoy every minute of it.
He's so lovable right now that I kiss him all the time and hold him close. I had the greatest moment so far the other night. He screams lately because of the heat and I couldn't stand to let him do that again so I laid him on our bed. I turned the fan on and let it sweep back and forth across him. I laid down next to him and watched him fall asleep. Before he fell asleep he was watching me and we sized each other up for a time. That's when the moment hit me that I was looking at my son for the first time and drinking in his facial features. He did the same as me and then it happened. He smiled at me and drifted off to sleep. These moments are precious and not easily attainable during the hustle and bustle of the day but it makes it all worth it in the end.

And don't fool yourself, every parent has a memory they cherish...

We went to our baby class reunion now that we have all had our babies. Only three of the couples actually made the meeting so we had lots of fun. Darren was the oldest and our teacher's baby was the youngest. We took lots of pictures. Siane, Darren, and Nuri. Aren't they cute?

By the way, Maya is the youngest and she has the most hair. She's six weeks old.

Here's some more pictures. The one with the beer is funny because it was a small version of Corona and actually was his size. He looks drunk eh? The other ladies are his gramma (Dave's mom) and granny (Tracy's mom). He has to stick his feet out when he sleeps or his arms. Makes for a cute photo op.

Well Darren and I are back from our vacation in Vernon. We had a fabulous time there visiting all our neighbours on the lake. Darren was especially in love with our neighbour Brian who wisked him away at every opportunity given to him. Darren asked me if we could take him home with us but I told him Brian had too many kids of his own to play with. We swam in the lake twice in the hot weather we had up there and he loved it. We made it a nudey beach after that. We have a car for him to sit in the next time we go up in August. It's inflatable and has two holes for his legs to sit in. This way I can swim with him instead of holding him. It was very relaxing up there and we had lots of shopping to do and did we ever. It drove all the boys mad but we enjoyed it. Dave came up for one week and we enjoyed our family time together. I took lots of cute pics of my two guys together. My brother also came up for two weeks and we spent time on the seedoos and swimming in the lake together.
