Christmas goodies

I've been off for a couple of days and liking the relaxation and eating and eating and so forth. Mom makes great turkey. For Christmas I got a glider, not a rocker and it came with an ottoman that glides too. It's nice and cozy. After my doctor's visit today I went to my third ultrasound and got a picture of the baby but this one is open to interpretation. There's not much room there for the little one anymore. He showed me his rump last night and boy what a sight seeing one side of your abdomen rising higher than the other. Alas no individual hands and feet poking through yet.

I'm now officially off work until the baby comes. I'm on medical leave because I'm showing signs of pregnancy-induced hypertension (preeclampsia) and a possibility of having gestational diabetes. I gave more blood today so we will know more next week when I go back for another doctor's appointment. I'm caged to the house now and my only decision of the day will be "Do I want to watch tv or sleep?" This is apparently much better than staying in the hospital for three months. Crazy is what I will be unless I get a hobby that involves using the couch.
