Hi thereIf short on steerer length think head set stack heights (measure from lowest part ie crown bearing to where lower bearing meets frame steerer tube and then add from top of frame steerer to pre load point on upper part of head set )they can vary quiet a bit it's a good way to gain a few mm Most good makes stack height can be found online I would recommend cane creek S3 good value not to heavy rebuildable low stack height but there are a few others a bit lowerStart researchingWouldn't Go less than 3mm below top of stems horizontal tube at mostPete

I don't have experience working with machine shops...think they need a CNC machine to duplicate it? Wonder about how much they'd charge to do just one?
