On a lighter note...pics of the rides!  ;D

This one's been with me since 1998, and as you can see I've replaced a few parts since then.  :D

A closeup of the disc brake tab shovelon recently added:

And here's the new ride I bought a couple of weeks ago. This one's still a work in progress.

Eventually, the parts will get moved to this frame (except the fork):

I know it been said before but when you put modern parts on a old Proflex they look like they hardly aged at all. That looks really nice and I love the grape colour.
Good luck with the 857's.

The interesting thing about the 857 is it feels like it accelerates faster. I can't tell if that's because it's actually lighter (it probably is, slightly) or if it's because the gear ratios are different (I think the big chainring is a little smaller on the 857), but it has noticeably more pickup.

The World Cup frames have a higher pivot and react stronger to pedal influence. Hence patented "Dig in technology". Maybe you have big legs. ;D

Also, I think it's time for some random Pro-Flex-related silliness.

What to do with a disembodied Vector fork? Wait, I know! Let's pretend it's a gun!

This is why I should not be left alone for long periods of time, especially when I'm in a good mood.  ;D
