six foot three inches and nearly eighteen stone i need alot of room ;D   the bike still needs a bit of fine tuning maybe a bit off the seat post and maybe a different angle on the bar stem but it rides as smooth as you like 8)

Finally got my Oz togeather. I decided I probably would never get it done so I had a friend finish it up for me. Nothing fancy at this point, just wanted to get it out so still have an old set of flat pedals on it. I did have the crank arms and seatpost clamp powdercoated in yellow just to add a bit more color. Also went with braided steel look on the cables because that would look good with the CF frame. At this point it is just over 28lbs. Using a Manitou Swinger 4 on the rear. Good ole XTR stuff still works just fine for me. I can already tell I want a slightly longer stem with more rise. I'm too old to lean that far over!

Nice!

Did you drill out the cable stops? (To allow through cable routing)

Nice job Willie!
Good to see another OZ built up and ready to go. Such an awesome looking bike. I like that you've left the original graffics on the OZ, I think they can look a bit bare with out them.

Yes I did. That was fun trying not to get the frame to hot and melt.

I don't remember if I ever posted a full pic of my bike here, so here it goes:

Evo 4.0 frame in medium
XT/LX drivetrain
Race Face Deus XC cranks
Race Face Next carbon handlebars
Race Face Diabolous stem (but changing to a Deus)
Fox Vanilla 125RLC fork
Romic twin tube shock (8.75" eye-to-eye)
Avid mechanical disc brakes, 180mm front, 160mm rear

and just for fun, here's a link to my photo gallery of some of bikes I've owned (about 49 over the last 7 years).

Here is a proflex I have been working on for my wife. I gave it a bit of an over haul. I bought it on craigslist and gave it a new paint job with all new decals and a slew of new components. One thing I dont know is what model it is. It had original K2 decals... from looking at other bikes, I think it is a 6XX series possibly? maybe a 1997 reptile, or attack? did K2 own proflex in '97? I need help identifying this frame!

I'd say it's a Small 656.

I'd suggest that the decals are not original (as fitted) should be "PRO~FLEX" on the downtube and "656" on the top tube.

i.e. pre K2 days or at least before they were badging them.

I don't believe that "Animal" or "Beast" were ever used for this model.

If the rear shock works OK, then I expect it'll make a nice "little" bike!

Good Luck
