Visually the top tube length looks short compared to the swingarm. But maybe it is just an optical illusion because the swingarm is hanging so low.

I thought the only differerance between a medium and a large was the top tube length.

Can anyone add info?

Probably an illusion, I think it's just people used to seeing them with the shock attached - I measured both dimensions instead of looking them up (esp with FS, I don't really bother with "factory sizing" because of the variations of measurement) -- if you'd pref cm let me know (I'm actually more used to cm for bikes)

I'm an oversquare TT guy myself this one is a bit oversquare.

yup

given the (swoopy) nature of the top tube, I don't think C-C is very useful -- I try to measure FS bikes C-T and EFF because of the variation in design.

I've just listed a 656, 857 and 2 pairs of girvin forks on fleabay, sorry overseas it's all uk only, making some space so it needs to go have look if theres anything that tickles the old purse strings, im in the nottingham/derby area

Hi fellas, looks like I have bent then split the dropout on my x56 swingarm, so I need a new swingarm just to be safe. Not bothered about cosmetics as it will be polished to replace my existing one.

so, anyone got one they are willing to part with?

not sure Terry, its split across the hole where the drop out bolts on, its very thin there. I might JB weld the dropout to the swingarm and take a chance!

Probably can be reworked with welding. If not, just weld the dropout on. If you are interested in the weld route, I can send you a proceedure for a weld shop to follow.
