Had a parlez with Callum at RDS couple of weeks ago.
He and Mike, "The Hammer" aren't making anymore HammerHeads because demand has dropped off.
He said he has a few left, I wanted a one for an 856 and he said he would look in the loft for it.
He hasnt got back to me so I'm thinking he hasnt got any!
Callum runs Rapid Descent from home as well as holding down a full time job during the day and usually he will respond given time.
Mr752

Maybe try PM'ing Mike, think his username is HAMMER, If I'm wrong I'm sure someone can correct me! ::)

Hammer is correct....dont know how often he pops in here,If there is such a beast I am sure Callum has it.

As i posted on another answer. I had trouble getting a response from Callum on an 857 disc brake adaptor...Simon Pearce has provided an adaptor which has enabled me to mount my rear disc, and at £15 is great value. I googled "hammerhead rear disc adaptor" and managed to contact Mike Billett [mike@racing-green.com] who made the original Hammerheads that Callum used to import. Mike has said if he gets enough enquiries he look at getting a batch of adaptors made up by the engineering firm that did the originals, so an-e-mail to Mike might well bring you the result you're after.
Hope this helps

Could seriously consider bidding on that Oz.
What sought of price would be realistic for that frame?
Just watching it for now until I know what max bid to put in.
Come on everyone with an Oz give me a clue!!

Mr752

I paid $499 US dollars for my OzM frame which is the same frame but a different sticker. I have seen frames go for $400 to $600 here in the States. Whole bikes for over $1000.
Convert that to pounds, and you would find a baseline for bidding.

Can you figure what size it is? There was only medium and large made.

Good Luck,
Terry

i paid £260 for my oz frame off ebay from simon off here, anything around the 200-250 mark should be in the right ball park for a good frame, anything more than that and mine might be seen on there!  ;)

K2 Oz for sale in the UK:

strange looking disc mount

fully floating?

Assuming that the top bar is threaded to allow you to vary it's length, would this have the function of adjusting the disk/pad coverage, which is something that has concerned me about "knocking one up" myself...........?

On our bikes it can't float because the dropout and the brake boss don't move independantly. On a bike with pivots between the dropout and the seat stays it would be forced to float; not sure if it's supposet do though.
Er Col, if it rotates around the axle, you can turn it all day and the pads will cover the same surface of the disk. Only if the pivot were offset from the wheel axle would you be able to vary the pad coverage.

These horrors appeared when people weren't sure if the conventional dropout could take the torque of disk brakes.
I would be inclined to drill it in position on the OZ dropout, hacksaw off the pushrod mount and that hideous QR/axle bolt thing and then bond and bolt it on using the holes I drilled earlier (scotchweld DP490 is as good as a weld.
I have a Postmount adapter glued on the back that way.

Thanks for the tip-off to the sale, I'll be watching that closely. I've been wondering what I would do if my 4500 breaks ungluably, maybe this is one solution....

thats either an early hope disc mount (which you need a special hub for ) or a woodman one which you dont. id be very surprised if hes used that on the oz due to the shape of the oz`s drop outs. the bar has ball joints at either end to allow for differentials in the drop out and the brake pivot mount.  does this make sense? to me that kind of mount would work very well on the x series.
