That is a Risse Racing Genesis Air/oil shock. Latest cost was $199. Best to call on phone as they don't do email well.

Hello Group, Could you tell me if the Risse shock requires any retro fitting or modifications to the bike frame or the triangle (656) I know had to come up with my own set up the first time I replaced the rear suspention on my Attack. That is before I found the almighty "AAAAAAAHHHHHHH" Pro Flex Riders Group. lol Any info on this would be great. Thanks, Tracy

Hi all, I've decided to finally part ways with my 955 that I bought new in '95. It's been hanging (literally) since '99 and I just built it up recently to try it out again. But it just doesn't suit me anymore. There's a pic on the "post your ride" thread. There are more pics <a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/101711213976284970783/ForSaleProflex_955">here</a>. I also have the original elastomer shock, but one elastomer melted. The frame is in overall good condition (no cracks) but there are areas of cable rub that has worn parts of the frame and there are spots in the polish throughout the frame. These can be seen in the pix. I don't think that it's a problem and I am not hesitant to ride the bike. The Risse Genesis shock is in excellent condition. The shock retails for $200. I don't know what these frames are going for. So if you're interested, please post or message me and we can work out a price. I'm in 95148. Thanks!

Supposed to be a direct fit.

That's kind of a weak shock.
In these bikes, platform shocks work very well, like the Manitou Swinger.

1995 Proflex Animal for sale. Bike is in very good condition with minor cable rub. This has the HED carbon aero wheels. Changed grip shifters to LX trigger shifters, installed new kenda small block 8 tires and tuned it up. Magura hydraulic rim brakes work good but front one should be bled. This is a 21" frame. Let me know if there is any interest...my pics are too large to post here.

Think I may sell my Proflex 856 to help fund my wife's santa cruz blur xc.

It has noleen mega air fork, rear has been converted to disc brakes, Mechanical discs front/rear, xt front/rear derailleurs, converted to 4 roller blade bearings in pivot, just relaced bearings in pivot, was bare aluminum but just painted it forrest green, new bottom bracket with raceface cranks, new derailleur hanger, noleen rear shock, shock forks are painted dark grey, disc brake only wheels just rebuilt rear hub, new wtb prowler ss 2.3 tires, twist grip shifters. Not sure what else. I really dont know what to ask for it, just make a reasonable offer. It is in East Texas. Would perfer not to ship but can.
Just painted it and clearcoated but may need redone since I was an idiot and didnt use aluminum primer. Looks good though but when I took it to the bike shop this weekend to get bottom bracket chased they chipped paint in a couple of places. Jerks. Jeepinoveru60 at aol.com

So my on again, off again, on again sale of my K2 Animal is back on, again.

This time I have made up my mind to sell it, just the frame and fork though.

It is a 1998 K2 Animal with a K2 Smart Shock with 5" of travel and a 1998 Manitou X-Vert fork w/ 4" travel.

I will sell it for $350 shipped anywhere in Canada or the U.S. or make me an offer.
