i don't know of any other modifications other than the adding of the VTO and grease ports.
some do develope a leak over time, a replacement of seals and tightening things up should make you good to go. it's an easy overhaul with only a few tricks and hints besides what is in the manual...send me a meassge if you want more info on how to overhaul...it's almost as easy as doing a main pivot grease
most of the o~rings can be sized at your local harware store..
i wouldn't worry about replacing the bearings though and don't over grease it....i use slick honey, if you have girvin goo that is good too.
if you have a slow leak now, i'd first tighten up the top caps (knurled plastic that the schraeder valve is mounted in) if you don;t have the specifi tool, get a rag and a wide mouth pliers and see if you can snug it up some......don't over tighten, try a 1/16 of a turn at most
