Kind of interesting....the 2 new 2003 bikes that's getting a lot of hype on this board and mtbr are SINGLE PIVOTS. :o  The Yeti ASX and the new Santa Cruz Heckler  :P  One is a full on huck to the max freeride.

The other is an heavy duty XC that can handle light freeride duties.

Hey IFO, my back's sore just looking at that hardtail. Heard anything about that Maverick fork.I would't want one, but they look interesting. Rich

nah i havent heard much recently...

first off, its gunna be a expensive fork, for the ave. rider...

secondly there already a ton of fork out there like it, except heavier...

also it uses a specail hub if i remeber coirrectly...

sorry no sale...

p.s. riding a HT keeps me honest... the bike reminds me all the time just who's ridin who, ahhahaah

i usually land drops on it by crying out "OW, that hurt my wrist/ankles".... [smiley=laughing.gif]

but ima  suker for punishment... [smiley=nod.gif]

I just got an Answer Pro riser bar and FSA Free Ride stem for my HT.  ;D It's a old Rocky Mountain Hammer (steel frame).  It's still got the Manitou Mars fork on it.  I got the bar and stem with the purpose of keeping me honest and developing better ridings skills.   ::)The only problem is I'm having too much fun on the Evo, that I leave the HT at home.  :-X If I do start riding it more, I'll get a beefier fork. ;)  The riser bar and shorter stem does make the bike more fun to ride around the block.  Hopefully, I'll take it on the trail rather than around the block soon. 8)
