Oz rear disc cable routing

Sorry, I don't have any pics at the moment.  I do have some experience.  I found that the lower brake cable guide (on the left side, rear brake) tends to kink the cable unless you do one of two things.  I chose to remove that guide and put another one up a little higher on the bike.  I have also seen cables zip tied farther along the front of the swingarm so that the bend/flexing portion of the cable is closer to the pivot.

cool, thanks guys. from OP's pics it looks like there may be a chance of using the Avid Full Metal Jacket along the top of the swing arm. that would be really cool.

I also found the lower downtube cable guides kinked the cable.  This became apparent when I decided to go with outer all the way from the rear shifters to the swingarm.  I now have the shifter cable coming from the shifter (handle bar right), down the left hand side of the down tube and crossing over to the right by the lower bottle cage mount.  The rear disc hydraulic cable does the opposite (handle bar left, going down the right hand side) - it works really well.  If you don't have a bottle cage fitted you could make a double cable guide fixed to the lower bottle cage mounting.

That's interesting-my Oz showed no kinking of the cables where everyone elses did. I wonder if my guides are located in another position?  When running full length housing I did need to put an extra bit of housing between the last guide and swingarm for the r.d. creating a "sway back" in the housing.  Otherwise a solid landing would cause the housing to pull from the cable end in the swingarm during rebound, then the housing would settle outside the cable end and ruin the shifting.

Scott, chances are you can't see the cable kinking - but I noticed on my Oz that the braking lever feel improved a lot when I cut the zip ties on the downtube, which means there is some added friction in there from kinking.

Good point!  I orignally did dry runs to test for this by installing housing of various lengths and springless rear shocks to allow me to cycle the shock while looking at the housing-but- that doesn't account for housing deformation when the swingarm arcs through while you're at high speed hmmm.
