The New Lithium
« on: September 27, 2003, 10:56:34 pm »
I just read a favorable review of the new Lithium in the November issue of MBA. It is going to be available in three price points; 3.0 @ $1,199, 4.0 @ $1,949 and 5.0 @ $2,499. All 3 models share the exact same frame that has 4" or 5" adjustable rear suspensipn. The 4.0 has XT components, Manitou Swinger SPV shock and a 125 mm Manitou Black Super Air fork. The Hayes mechanicial brakes are the only weak link in components. Weight is 27.5 lbs, not too bad for a disc brake equiped long travel "trail" bike. I'm not going to rush out and trade in my EVO, but this new model should appeal directly to the majority of members on this site.

The report may become available online eventually, it is usually delayed several months from the time
the magazine comes out.
