Medium Oz Frame for Sale...
« on: September 16, 2003, 04:30:45 am »
I may regret this, but I am offering up my Oz frame for sale.  This is a used frame with a Risse Astro 5.  I think I bought the Risse about 1 to 1.5 years ago, but it is in excellent shape.  I kept a lizard skins cover on it from day one, so it has seen almost no dirt.

Also included are the following:
- original Noleen shock
- an installed hammerhead disk brake adapter
- used XT bottom bracket (cups are showing some wear, but it works fine)
- XT front derailleur in good shape
- used cane creek head set in good shape (has a spot on the upper cup where the black paint is worn off, must have been cable rub)
- a Lizard skins swing arm protector
- a Lizard skins shock protector

This frame is in good shape, but there are a few cosmetic scratches.  I have done nothing to these, but they could probably be touched up with some clear fingernail polish or paint.  Go to my gallery and look at the pictures of the right top tube to see what I'm talking about.  Additionally, the rear derailleur cable tube through the swingarm can come out if you aren't careful, but it will go back in.  This could probably be replaced but it works fine.  Other than that the frame is in perfect working condition.

I'm not really sure what a fair price, but you can make me an offer if interested.  Anybody have a suggestion for what this is worth?

Forrest

Simon, thanks for the reply.  I assume this was a standard frame with the Noleen NR-2.  I believe that I payed around $450 for my frame.  The Risse Astro 5 was about $300 and I think the Hammerhead adapter was around $60.  This is what I payed for the stuff new and it is now used, but in very good condition.  The Astro 5 is in perfect condition.  The other stuff I'm pretty much tossing in for free as it is showing some signs of wear but functionally sound.
