Worn out Elastomers
« on: September 14, 2003, 01:06:34 pm »
I have question regarding elastomers on a Proflex 656. I just bought a 656 and some of the elastomers are worn out, or so I think. I think that they are worn out because when they compress, they stay compressed and won't come back up which means I have technically have no shox. [smiley=blankstare.gif]

I want to kno if these shox are really worn out or not, and if they aren't, is there a way to fix them so that they will have some tension on them?

Thanx for any replies. Please feal free to email me for suggestions! :)

the elastomers or MCU springs can be rejuvenated somewhat by heating them ..I used to warm mine by removing them and putting them in hand hot water till they became springy again..only works for a few times tho and is a pain to take em on and off.Ypu can get new mcu springs from k2 through any bike shop
