Proflex Reptile
« on: August 20, 2003, 03:18:19 am »
I have an old Proflex Reptile that I picked up in '98 at the Ski Market tent sale for 400.00 dollars.  At the time I was excited because it seemed to be a good bike for the 1/2 price that I paid.  I road it pretty good for about 2 years then it has collected cob webs and dust since then.  My ridding buddy moved back to the area and now I'm back into the sport. I just had to order the rear elastomers because they had dry rotted and split open.  This dropped the suspension and I am hitting rocks and roots with my cranks.  Anyone ever have this problem or other problems with this bike?  Any suggestions to make this a better bike?

Thanks

Here is the pic of the Reptile.  I can't find any info or history on this bike from the www.  The only other place I saw this bike besides the short while it was for sale at Ski Market was at a Ski Resort Rental shop up in New Hampsire.  The reptile was their rental bikes for one summer back in 98'.
