How do you find the Risse shocks? I'm still wondering if it's worth the outlay for them on my 757. My Noleens are still working fine at the moment but you just never know.

Looks clean. I'd be jealous if mine didn't look just as good. ;)

How do you find the Risse shocks? I'm still wondering if it's worth the outlay for them on my 757. My Noleens are still working fine at the moment but you just never know.

On my 857 I've got a Risse Genesis up front and an Astro 5 on the back. The rear is great and the ability to lock out the shock on the firmest setting or soften it to your liking at the turn of a lever is very usefull. I alter it all the time depending if I'm riding on the road or trail.
The front however I found too firm. My Genessis has far too much stiction and takes a fair hit to start it compressing. Once over the stiction it moves freely and smoothly but it's still not as responsive as a NR2.
I've switched the front back to the NR2 and the ride is lovely.

Risse are very good shocks, very light and beautifully made but if you live in UK the servicing is very difficult/non existent. There is no where in UK that do it anymore and as far as I know they have to be sent back to Risse. Other forum members have said Risse can be a nightmare to deal with. I bought mine from a fellow flexer and luckily they have not needed servicing yet and they are quite a few years old.

Hey guys!  Yes lots of happened in eight years.  I got married and a kid is on the way (any day now). I been busy with my S2000 roadster and work.

But I am going to bring the 957 back to life this winter.  Going to take it all apart and upgrade a few things.

The shocks ok are - pretty light.  My rear shock is blown and now I need to get a new one.  Might just order a noleen rear. Unless anyone has a good rear shock for sale here?

I remember a few names here - good to be back!

Nice bike man.

I have a 757 (springs) and 855 and Beast and need elastomers for the 855 and Beast - any ideas? I'm UK based as well.

Thanks for help in advance.

Hope all is well. You've probably done something already regarding your rear shock. It looks like a Genesis from Risse? I had them rebuild mine and it was $55-60. They did a seal replacement and a new valve stem. Always liked the look of the 957!
