Hope it rides as nice as it looks.

The bike started off as a pair of Girvins forks to be put on a Cannondale killer vee ,but no ,bit by bit this happend ,it was never ment to a head turner just a retro with some of my idear of nice bits . As to the ride ,it is quick i think for an old full suspention bike (may be thanks to the wheel set ) not as twichy as the Cannondale vee and very good on a climb , if i could sort out the shocks on the rebound it will be great ,time will tell .

Yes the air conversion to the NR4 was someone on Retrobike I think, so do a search on there. But basically he stripped the resivour down and cleaned it and fitted a schrader valve to it. It seemed to work fine if I remember correctly.

Yes that seems to ring a few bells ,and also about 120-140 psi .I just need to understand how to
strip the shock down and rebuild it ,

My god man, it's a seatpost, not a flagpole. (though if you like sitting on flagpoles, I won't judge.

This might be of use you, as it says its the same process for a NR4.

On a '56 frame the top tube height (stand over height) is the same on a medium/large and way big so they're meant to be like that. Anyone with long legs will have the seat set high.
Seat heights are not one size fits all.
