rear brake adapter for 857
« on: June 14, 2011, 02:40:14 pm »
Hi there, I really want to fit my avid juicy 5's to my 857, only thing is, the spacing on the holes on the rear carbon swinging arm are closer together than a standard adapter? any pointers/pics that could help would be appreciated.

the 857 had the 48mm Formula standard holes rather than the 51mm International standard.  Check out my website (which is still operating) for the instructions.  i think mike has none left and mine have all gone as well now.

yeah - we were selling the house so the first thing that had to go was the workshop and all the bike stuff.  Although, it took a year to sell (economic climate not brilliant here for house selling) but we're moving now so I can't wait to get my workshop back up and running.

Proflex stuff started to tail off a few years ago.  I had a good run of it but many of the bikes are being thrown away in the garbage now and not really the sort of bike that people were willing to spend money on...
