If you are talking your Chubby fork, this adapter is a K2 adapter on Ebay right now. The price is right.

For the rear, a mount could be welded on.

I could use a post mount to is adapter to bolt on to the swingarm. there are two holes for 4mm bolts on the end of swingarm. to use a 140 or 160mm rotor

Are you sure those bolt holes are intended for use with a disc adaptor? I know some disc adaptors use them in addition to other mounting points, but unless yours are substantially beefier than mine are, they're not enough by themselves.

Ultimately, I ended up paying shovelon to weld a disc tab onto my 756 swingarm. Can't beat welding for shear strength (pun not intended).

Im not sure if they can be used for a adapter. a IS to post mount adapter could go on there, but not 100% sure

Possibly a stupid question, but I'm new to the world of discs...

Does the front bracket for the Chubby forks allow most any caliper to be mounted, or is a bracket specific to a manufacturer required? Planning to go with a front disc setup for Christmas and want to get all the info before wasting some money on something that won't fit.

I'm not an expert as I don't have a Chubby fork, but I'm pretty certain that the disk caliper mounting holes on a Chubby are not to ISO standard, i.e. the modern standard.
Thus you need the 5994 part to adapt the fork to allow an ISO caliper to fit.
