FAO sammydog - question about your rear shock conversion

I am looking to do the same conversion on a xp-8, in fact using the same shock, Fox Float.
Just to check the length, I measured that I would need 165 mm (6 1/2 inch) eye to eye .... but you have some sort of adatper to hold the shock to the swing arm stays - see below.
Please can you give me some details and photos of the adapter - I have some ideas but why invent the wheel?
