Looks quite similar to the old San Andreas, but with a lower swingarm pivot.

Too bad K2 did not go in this direction, but whatever.

Certainly is the cleanest design this side of a hardtail. ;)

From what I can tell it's a new San An. There is some talk about it on the MC forum but much it being speculation. They have leaked a few things on facebook as well.

I did it.  My next project is on the way.  8)

Will have to break the news gently to my Oz(semi-retired), 5000 & 756.

Could always make up a sticker with "Single Pivot Cousin" or something like that... :D

Wow, Mountain Cycle is still around? I remember back when they used to ship with these special cable/hydraulic disc brakes where the caliper and the fluid reservoir were a single piece, and a regular brake cable pulled on a lever that compressed the fluid to operate the caliper.

Yeah, the early San An was really ahead of its time...long rear travel, hydraulic discs, heavy duty frame. I love the polished versions, which occasionally come up for sale...sadly I think the frame design was a bit ahead of its time for the rear shocks that were available. Pair it with an RP23 these days and it would make a nice ride!

Nice bike thunderchild.  We are giving one away at an enduro in early June.

I almost got one myself but opted to wait for the new San An.

Pos pics when you have built it.
