Laquer removal on 5500
«
on:

My 5500 / Oz has had what looks like a really crappy laquer job on it - some has come off, other areas have gone milky.
I'm thinking of using Nitromors or having it dipped at a powder coaters to get it off.
Has anyone any experience of this? Would it be safe to do?
Thanks,
Craig

Sounds like a pretty scary thing to do to a lump of plastic................

I would be very careful that the plastic would foul. The same thing happened on one of my alum frames, and I just keep flaking the laquer off. It is looking pretty good after some polish.
