Sheesh, what happened to Risse???
« on: May 17, 2009, 09:41:51 pm »
Just a few months ago, when I bought my faulty Astro 5 and a Genesis for my 4000, Risse was all ears and easy to contact. Now they're completely incommunicado, even at their new contact numbers. On several occasions I've tried all the numbers and all the extensions from their voice answering system to no avail. Email messages have also gone unanswered. I'm stuck with an Astro 5 that lets out a shriek with every compression and now leaks oil from the damping selector switch. $300 down the drain...thanks, Kevin Risse, you a-hole >:-(

Does anyone know what the heck happened to this outfit? A quick search on the Internet yields a bunch of similar issues on all types of bike and motor hobby sites.

Does anyone know how to get in touch with them? OR, does anyone know of a repair outfit for their shocks that might actually return calls and general act the way a business should?

Thanks!

- Doug :-)

Anytime there is a move involved, I can only think the worst. I know doing bussiness in California is bad, but not that bad. I think they may have been doing other manufacturing as well, and it went down the toilet. On the other hand, Oregon economy is doing very well, so I can see the logic.

Mike at Stratos has told me that this will be his last year selling parts and sevicing shocks as well.
