Project XP-8 is nearly done!
I wanted a rear disc mount from Callum at RDS, but he didnt have one I dont think, I knocked this one up out of 4mm, 316L Stainless steel. Made a template from card and then cut it out with an angle grinder(not the template!!!!) and polished it up with a 120grit polishing wheel.
Not a bad effort for a first attempt. Fits spot on and the Juicy 5's Tri-Align fine adjusted it.

Used Stainless steel bolts and cut some 8mm spacers from 12mm stainless instrumentation tube.

Still got some brake hose management issues, Front too long, rear too short not by much but enough to be annoying!
Seatpost wants shortening a bit and got a nice SRAM chain to go on.
Probably going to change out the rear mech for a m772 Shadow and waiting for some Time Atac pedals to arrive.
Will keep you all informed.

i can tell your chuffed as nuts with that! if thats your first attempt matey then youve got a hidden talant for that type o thing.
ive seen people take 5 or 6 goes to get anywhere near that good. will there be a mk2 ??.

Mk 2 might be on the cards,
Thin it out here and there.Mill the thickness down where the axle/skewer seats.
Just trying to convince Mrs752 that a micro lathe and milling attachment from Machine Mart would be a good investment for DIY jobs around the house,

she is'nt buying into it at the moment

Yeah I liked that brake hose through the swingarm jiggery pokery that Simon did with his!
Might need to purchase a longer hose to do it. Need to drill 2 holes in the swingarm and maybe put a bulkhead "o" ring in each.

All my bike fettling seems to get done in the dead of night these days when Mrs752 and the little 752's have gone to bed.
Was putting the chain on at 1.30 this morning.
Hope the bike doesnt turn to dust when it gets hit by sunlight first time outside

wasnt serious....if you take the cable stops out the holes in the swingarm are quite big

nice job on the crosslink disc setup.

yeah, you have to be careful on the inside edge pending the type of hub that is on the wheel and the distance to the rotor and parts.
i made my end caps from some plastic table leg ends that i picked up at a hardware store - cut them in half and trimmed to fit.
