What are old shocks worth these days
« on: September 20, 2007, 03:12:02 am »
Considering going to get a Risse air rear shock (or something similar) for my 857, which would leave me with a Noleen NR2 and a Noleen NR4 shock that would have be sacrificed to the great God "VISA" (who hopefully be acting as financier on this venture). So an ideas what these would be worth ?

hard to say... even ODS seem to get at least £40 these days on Ebay, so you might get £50 for those?? It's such a niche market though that depending on who is watching Ebay on that day you may get £100 or you may get £10...

no, that's the nr-4. NR2 has rebound only and no piggyback

Would you be interested in trading your NR2 for my NR4?

RoOster,
I was hoping to change the shock to an airshock so i would prefer to sell both the NR2 and NR4 shocks, but what sort of trade were you thinking ?

My NR4 for your NR2 straight up. I'm sure 2 NR4s will bring more cash than 1 NR2 and 1 NR4. ;)

This is exactally the one I have sitting in my desk at work. I really need an NR2 so I can finish the rear on my BEAST.

Kiwi,
Sounds (and looks) like it ! The two shocks i have are both for the 857 rear (i.e cone adaptors on one end). Ihave to dig out the camera tonight and get a couple of piccies to post.

I'm even more interested in a swap if you have the Cone End NR2. So do you want to work a deal out? If we can work a swap I can help another rider out with my current ODS.
