I happened to be riding my road bike on Vashon Island, former home of K2 Bike HQ, and happened to notice an old EVO frame in the weeds.  Low-and-behold - it had the adapter I needed, and it was in fine shape.

Can you post a few pictures.  Even of the abonded Evo.   8)

Sorry - no pictures.  This was last summer that I found it.  Took me a while to put it onto the bike, but it's all back together now.

w2zero - where do you ride?

I ride trails in a 700 acre park just south of Vashon at night.  Nobody to complain then and the gates are closed.  Used to ride Victor Falls a lot but that has been a while.

Wow. Lucky son of a gun.

Where is K2 Bike located now, if not on Vashon Island?

I didn't know about any park south of Vashon - I'll have to go search for it.   I only road Victor Falls once.

I used to ride Tolt-McDonald a lot.  I should go up there sometime again.....

The park is on the Northern tip of Tacoma 700+ acres and quite a few nice trails.  Not for daytime rides though, too many people on foot.
