Seeing as this has a bolt hole on the bottom, would this work for an 855?

hmm - what does he mean "reverse spring loaded"? Is it one of those Pull Shocks? They did do a Stratashock for a Proflex, there's no cone but the shaped bit looks like it would fit over the strut nicely... don't know.

Yeah - a good fit, but not a great fit.
Also kinda short on travel a 1.25" of stroke. That would yield only 2.5" of travel on my 856.
I would guess the 855 has the same stroke:travel ratio as the 856 at 1:2
In any case, it's probably lighter than a steel spring and oil damper. If you're an XC rider, it should be a winner.
