Before I buy a 957 frame I've seen - can anybody remind me what the difference is between an 857 and a 957 except 957 has NR4 and is bare metal? Thanks!

The 957 had carbon forks, I thought the 857 had alloy original equipment.
Not sure about the 957 being made in the USA, I know my 956LE defiantly was with a different Easton tubeset than standard.
I asked Proflex about the 957 and I seem to remember they were quite vague only confirming it was American tubes. I got the impression it was essentially the same as the 857 with a different finish, shocks and fork.

I'm pretty sure that the 957's had a 6060 aluminium frameset that was made in Washington state whereas the 857's were made in Tiawan (which is no bad thing since 99% of all mountain bikes are made in the same handful of factories)...
cheers

I've decided not to buy it (Not different enough to what I already have) but here's the link if anybody wants it. He's asking for 75 Euros (around £50 or $100) plus postage - I think he's in Holland.
