Will this Risse and seat stay fit on my K2 2000?

Please see the ebay ad below. Its and 856.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3607273618&category=42317&rd=1

I had the guy measure the length of the seatstay and shock and he got 18" and my 98 2000 needs about 20". WIll it work on my 98 2000? Another idea, would the shock fit into my seatstay so all I would need to swop would be my blown crappy NR-1? Please help ASAP! I dont have a rear shock that works! Thanks.

your 2000 is actually the same as a 857.The seatstay on a x56 and x57 may be different but the shock i think should swap straight over.
