Off Topic - Dreaded 'Winfixer'

Anyone had trouble with 'Winfixer' taking over their computer?

When I went to open the link posted by Simon on the new 'Proflex', Winfixer tried to take over my computer.  Having wasted a whole weekend last year on my Daughter's computer with 'Winfixer', I knew what was coming.  So stopped the prog in it's tracks and ran Lavasoft's Ad-Aware (free download Personal SE version http://www.lavasoftusa.com/ ) and it killed it stone dead.

Hope this download helps you folks.

Another one to try is SpyBot.

Yep, I had it on my home computer where the kids log on. Yep, one of them kids tried to "fix". Once it gets hold, it is hard to get rid of.
