You don't want to "sandblast" it. Probably be better to soda blast it. Less chance of harm to the frame. Then you can polish it.

the guy who does our powder coating uses sand to strip the paint off frames. It's quite a fine sand and works well. Except, he keeps filling frames with sand and we have to hoover them out before building up!!

If anyone finds a decent condition, medium sized 955, 855, 856, let me know. Happy for even just the front triangle.

Just found cracks in both my 955 and 855. Different spots in both frames.

Hello all,

I'm selling a 20" (Way Big?) 856 frame and fork. The frame must've been bought separately and built up by the previous owner, because the components were well out of spec with the '96 build sheets (mostly lower end stuff). The pivots are all very nice, and even the non-sealed headset is still smooth, so I don't think this thing saw much action. Overall it has nice paint (red) and decals, except for a few places that are chipped. No dents.
It has the rear canti cable stop, but I had to use the plastic cable thingy under the bottom bracket for another build, so you'll need one of those ($1 part). ODS units are not leaky and still have good dampenability.

Would prefer local pickup or domestic US shipping, but would consider shipping outside the US if the buyer covers the additional cost.

95 USD (or interesting trades) plus shipping

I would love that frame but I think shipping costs will make it prohibitive

I think my Large 855 is too small and this would have been an ideal replacement.
