I would like to sell my Girvin PRO-FLEX 953. I am looking for suggestions, help, contact information, anything to find it a collector or museum type home.

I bought it new in 1993 in Angels Camp, California and changed jobs within that month. I was never home to ride it but kept it because it is unique and very pretty.

I don't have the orig pedals nor seat but everything else is original, even the tires. Obviously the elastomers are shot.

Pictures are here. They are several months old but the bike is still sitting in my garage exactly where they were taken.

New to this forum and need some advice. I have a near mint 955 with Risse shocks (including spare), full XT, Hope titanium hubs/Mavic rims, Girvin Vector 2 fork etc and have it for sale for around £600. Is this too much? Thanks in advance

Lovely bike but I suspect it won't fetch that much sadly. You're probably better breaking it and selling parts individually if you're after the most cash. Try ebay or places like retrobike.co.uk

Just a heads up that I have a 1998 K2 Proflex 3000 up for sale on Ebay. Reserve price $200 and buy it now $550. It is in great used condition. Large size frame, measures 20 inches from center of bottom bracket to top of seat tube. Comes with a Terry Liberator Gel Saddle (see image for wear) and dual-sided platform and spd compatible pedals. All else is original stock in great shape! Tires are mismatched, but both have decent tread. It even has an original Panaracer Duster II kevlar 26 x 1.95" in the front! There are a few minor scratches/scuffs from use, but all are cosmetic. I have been riding this bike on the trail this season, and it is a blast! It has been recently shop tuned (3 months ago), meticulously maintained and lubed, and is ready to ride!

Been drooling over your eBay auction over the weekend...but I really can't think of any rational explanation for buying it that would justify it to myself, let alone to my wife! Wait, the left rear dropout is already drilled for a disk brake, isn't it?

Selling a 955 frame and Girvin vector II fork. Both have Risse racing air shocks on them. The front works well, but the rear needs to be rebuilt (leaks down after pumping up). Good to find this site. I've had a red K2 Proflex 4000 from new in 1999, with a Carbon rear quarter and Noleen crosslink Parallelogram front fork with smartshock. I don't use the battery in it anymore. It has predominantly been used for fast cross country, and infrequently at that. Has always been light and responsive. All paint still original, no major knocks or scrapes, good tyres, Sun rims, full XT etc.

It rides exceptionally well but the front fork is going to need something strategic doing to it soon and I've got to the stage that this should stay as a good original, well looked after vintage bike now rather than become my son's hack as he grows into a bike in years to come.

Anyone interested? Bike in West Sussex, UK and I can send photos if you message me an email address. I'm 5'10 - its a large. All manuals and brochures/original invoice still present. Sensible offers...

Hey K2/Proflex people. My Name is Tim, I talked to and sold a Team Bike to someone on here a few years ago that was very happy that I contacted this group first. I used to be the Pro-flex and later K2 team Mechanic back in the mid to late 90's. I just moved and found a good amount of old hardware and team clothing. some jerseys, skin suit, Ti frame hardware, bushings, brass cable ends. Still need to go through it all. Figured I would see if there was interest here before going to Ebay. Prices will be good not trying to gouge anyone. Let me know.
