Update on the Black Hole

I haven't been keeping up with the group lately, and spent the last few days catching up.  It'll sure be interesting to see if Proflex returns!

Anyway, thought I'd post an update on the 5k since I've done a lot of tweaks of the past few months.  It now has Mavic rims and hubs, Crossland (ceramic tubeless) in the front with a 317 in the rear.  Also put on Pedros Dice grips and IRC Mythos kevlar bead tires (I'd buy Mythos again in a heartbeat).  Terry and I also discovered that the shock didn't like to be mounted inverted, so I've flipped it over permanently and had no more problems.

This continuies to be an incredible ride.  It climbs like a monkey and screams downhill.  I haven't had any problems with the forks yet, but I can see that forks are my next big investment.

Dennis, I hope you like the reason it's called the Black Hole;  the flat black appears to attract every particle of dust within 2 AU.  (I teach science part time).



C_A, I can't even comment further on the wet part without offending someone.  Let's just say it's better wet.    As for the angle of the dangle, I thought it was 35, but I've had it long enough that I don't remember.   I always thought I was small or average height because my litlle borther was 6'7", but when I built the Hole on this Big/Large frame, I needed every inch I could get.



Douglas, we take pictures of the Sports Illustrated models wet, why not a Proflex?     But, since you seem to want it, and which man doesn't..., here is the filthy photo I took before she got wet:

I always right click on the pic select properties and copy the url from there

copy my url and embed between {img}{/img} but use square brkys not the curly ones,see how it works
