question for OP 5th rear shock
« on: May 03, 2003, 04:44:02 am »
what frame model and size do you have the 5th Element on, and what size/stroke shock. Were any mods necessary and is there any problem with the reservoir hitting? Even though I don't have the funds yet I reckon I am aiming for this shock if it can fit on my med Evo, it sounds like the optimum shock for single pivot designs.

4500
Large
8.5" eye2eye
2.5" stroke
run a little sag
had to file some notches on the swingarm mount to accomodate the spring
very minor removal of the spine inside the upper mounting plates and filed the shock head just a smidge as well

imho an excellent choice for the discerning xc rider whos steed has this particular pivot design

i took it off this bike and put it on my other 4500 with the disc brakes and reworked psylo sl
