mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm nice!but surely im not the only one to nice the 2 faults with it?
1, red floating discs and piston caps?  do they not do blue to match the forks? a fashion `faux pas` if ever i saw one.
2, wheres the carbon?

seriously though, gorgeous bike if you ever put it on ebay ill be there again!! just wish `er indoors would allow your `faux bar` into the house otherwise i would have made you an offer.

Ahhhh Jeff, Hope does blue and most other colours,
I just prefere Red,

It comes with oversize Easton carbon monkeylite bars,

Good point just gone and checked,

Front 44/32/22
Rear  32/28/24/21/18/16/14/12/11

probably need that extra lower gear as I get used to
a heavier bike, though the test bike rode light if you know what I mean  :P

Very Nice  ;) a couple of my riding buddies over in Ross on Wye have Whyte 46's.

You will have to change your 'handle' K2 only rider to Whyte turn coat!

What do you mean the usual 4" to 6" travel?  I know the front & rear travel is adjustable, but my friends just keep their's permanently dialled in at 6" front and back.

Shame the lawn looks unloved, but hey it's much better to be out on the trails.  You will be spending much more time now cleaning the bike after every ride!!

Ride on!  ;D

Oh, thank god, now you'll finally shut up about this thing. :o

You KNOW i'm just kidding! [smiley=laughing.gif]

Looks great, Simon! Hopefully it'll serve you well for many years to come!

Sooooooooo, what's the first mod? [smiley=nod.gif]

If I hadn't gotten the NRS and yet another frame to build i'd be after your Silver Bullet. I hope it goes to a good home.

Shabang bo snap diddy!
Dat's one pretty ride Simon. I give Mrs. Potter major props for making it happen. (Now what will you have to do...? [smiley=nod.gif])

Very impressive looking machine and looks just right for you and the surrounding countryside.

Cheers, Will

Hmmmmm crossmaxs,couple of problems
first they're French, second I'm not sure the hubs are compatable with the Maverick dropout or the rear Whyte big gripper dropout system, I think (at the moment anyway) only Hope does hubs that will fit front and rear and Maverick just supplies a front with the fork.
Simon.

Makes sense, although until recently, Mavic was actually owned by Adidas - a German company. I'm not sure what happened, but my bro-in-law who works for Adidas said '05 was the last year he could get me Mavic wheels at cost. (I did get a set of Ksyriums for my road bike in spite of their French origin, but man, I do feel guilty for supporting the enemy that way!) They do make the CrossMax SL's with a Lefty hub for Cannondales though...

(Oh, and if I were you, I'd stop calling my frame an "856 faux bar." It's a "fake-4-bar" design... ;) And did I mention that I wish it were mine?...)
