Rear Shock for 856
«

Hello everybody:
I own a Pro-flex 856,with original parts, except I´ve replaced the elastomers with springs and a rebuild kit for the front suspension. Now I have a problem with the rear shock. The original ods shock has the shaft scratched and is loosing oil.
Does anyone knows what kind of shock is suitable to mount on, and were to get it?
What measures should I look for the new shock?
Since I live in Portugal and the brand assistance is no longer available, I don´t know were else to go.
Thanks.
Regards from Portugal

You have CVI in the UK who could possibly repair
your ODS unit or supply a straight forward bolt on Risse shock,
otherwise you will have to make up some suitable
mounting brackets to be able to mount any other type of shock.

Hi, Red.
Try Bicigal if you are in the zone of Lisboa.
If you are in Porto, try Rodabike in Gondomar (old Bicigal in Porto area).
Nevertheless, I doubt you can get a shaft for your shock or even an ods shock.
The strut in ebay seems like a good deal...
PS: I'm also from Portugal. Sorry for my English, but everyone here types in English.

Hi Redliner!
You're in luck!
I have a Brand New, Never Used, Rear ODS Shock that I can sell you.
It's just the shock, i.e. no mounting gear, spring/MCU's, plates etc etc.
But from what you say, you're OK for everything else, so I think this is just what you need?
email me for a picture, price and postage costs.

obviously replace the "at" with @ !! (hopefully to stop my email address being snatched off the site!)

Hello:
Thank you all.
Your sugestions are diversily and reliable.i´ll decide in few days what to do.
I´ve tried bicigal but the manager wanted to do a business with me that was not very good deal for my wallet.
I intend to participate more in this forum, so I will be a resident member, because I like my bike and want to rebuil it.
Great comunity!
Regards from Alentejo.
