Received an NR-2 DNM warranty...
« on: May 01, 2003, 06:09:51 am »
Received a warranty replacement rear shock for my 98 K2 2000, a NR-2 DNM shock. Anybody know much about these? I had an NR-2 as a warranty replacement on my 2000 that blew and cracked prioir to this. I did a google search and found that this shock was on a 2001 Disco Monkey(?). How the hell will this fit on my World Cup style frame?? I have not picked it up yet so I will report back when I do.

i dont know but it might be possible for a cone end to be fitted to the new shock.....its k2,s problem tho..they should be able to fix you up with the correct shock, maybe suggest that a risse or stratos with perhaps an "upgrade fee" contribution?????

I have just fitted a DNM ST-8RC to my 955 frame.

It needed a bracket to be mede to fit into the cone end on the strut but it looks like it should work. The strut and shock go onto the bike in the morning. I will take some pictures a show you guys how it looks. Hopfully it will work as well. I have done a similar thing with a risse genisis (I had the wrong one) and it worked fine.
