Noleen Mega Air

Please help me figure this out...

If a Noleen Mega Air is truly "a 3# fork" with adjustable travel up to 100mm, has disk mounts, and air springing/damping, what's the down side?

Why are these forks available for reasonably good prices? Is there something wrong with them? Are they unusually flexy or something?

Perhaps this is what I've been looking for...

 ::)well, i have one and it's a great xc fork. it's light and simple. the only negatives, to me, are that it's a little flexy and the rebound damping doesn't change much. it is basically the same as the rst aerosa. but you can't go wrong for the price.

Noleen, K2 and proflex are no longer imported into the UK but found some reviews i think from a site in the states

It maybe just the fact its not a big brand name like marzocchi, rock shox etc.

I just got a set or 100mm air forks Magura Asgards (they took over Rond) for £114 which normally retail around £300, again they arnt a well know name when it comes to forks (dont come on bikes from new either, just aftermarket) , they are better known for brakes.

Havnt ridden the bike yet with them on so no idea what they are like

Finding a Mega-air fork (VTO Model)these days is an art in its self,difficult to find,bought 2 when I had the chance (thanks carbonangus).
After using many top brand names in the past can't really fault the mega-airs and they are very stiff (large stanchions) for such a light weight fork,
downside you can't get hold of them,

only other negatives to add, IMHO, are the innards, of which some are plastic and can be stripped if you have fumble fingers and not the correct tools...even with a pin~spanner you need to be carefull.
