[smiley=nod.gif]Just thought I'd let you folks know, the strut upgrade with the Float RC is now available. I have one on the way and will pass on any info and post a pic(if I can figure out how)!

here i am back from my first trail ride with my shock/strut upgrade and heres what i think.
the install was kind of tough. i suggest having another person help when you do it. i.e. four hands are better than one.
there are 2 different mounting holes, these holes change the head tube angle. k2 fails to give you any info on them but if you go to their web site under tech info you can check it out.
the strut is flat black. seems lighter than the old one. i'm not sure because i forgot to weigh the old one b4 shipping.
the shock is, beyond doubt, heavier. again i didnt weigh the old but the k2 claimed weight is 285 grams. the fox is .98lb so thats pretty much double. there are 453.6 grams in a pound.
the set up sheet k2 sends with the upgrade kit is a bunch [smiley=diaper.gif]. the air pressure chart is wrong. again go to the k2 site.
performance of the shock is much better. rebound adj. is 28 clicks. i found it easier to get it dialed in than any other shock i've owned. perhaps i just got lucky on that one.
lock out is slightly harder because the handle bar lever is no more.
all in all i'm happy with the whole deal. at 265 bucks U.S. its not a bad deal.
