Proline made OZ?

Any truth to this Ebay bike? He says this is not a K2 but the company that made the frames for them made these. I would not trust this frameset.

I experienced a similar situation last year some time.
I contacted a guy who was selling a 5500/Oz copy.
His story was that he knew someone who had made moulds from an original frame and was then making copies........
Bearing in mind that this frame also has an internal "skeleton" I was a bit dubious about the whole thing and steered clear of it......
Anyone know anything about the "Proline" story?
Googling it doesn't seem to throw anything up except a "Redline Proline" BMX.

Did K2 actually make the frames or was it sub'd out?

I wouldn't be suprised if its a copy,
pretty sure the carbon frames where contracted out,
this is the only K2 copy I know of,the one Dominic made,
yes he got permission from K2 to produce and sell if he wished, note the modern weave and no backbone,
no rib either, haven't seen him for a while so yet to
see it in the flesh.
Purrrrrdy isn't it.

Reading this artical from the how to's page it HINTS THAT the carbon frame was designed, prototyped and manufactured in house at the vashon Island facility.

hmm and I thought it was conceived in RI and mfg'd after the move to Vashon by a plant in the San Luis Obispo area (So. Centra California coast area). I thought that was comfirmed a few years back. I can't think of the factory name but it may come back to me

"proline" was not the name though

i think that the seller has been making methamphetamines in his bathtub.  and using too much of it himself.
