Hi Frank3000,

Well aside from the info ya already know, (MS Pro 5), and the fact that it performs fine for a 14st rider, in the words of Manuel from Faulty Towers "I know ....Nothing"

Anyone have any info on Eibach springs or the spec of an MS Pro 5 coil spring?

cheers [smiley=beer.gif]

the spring on it's own isn't really useful - unless you have the end caps to fit it on an ODS shock.  If you want end caps then give me a shout as I have hundreds of them on the shelf because I think (I'll need to check to make sure) my COR springs are about the same size.

Eibach USA made the MSPRO springs - they'll make springs for anyone who asks in sufficient quantities.  They are steel coated springs - normally red.  Some MSPRO springs have a slightly non-linear spring rate but if I remember correctly the 5 is pretty linear rate.

I use eibachs on my subaru impreza wrx! (and am now thinking about making new springs myself to replace them!)

hope this helps

I've got one from my Stratos Helix Pro. It's for sale if anyone wants it. 400lb linear spring. If you're interested, send me a message, and I'll dig out the exact measurements (they're on my other computer). I'd sell for $20 shipped in the US. Extra shipping anywhere else... It's a good spring - a little beefier than the stock Stratos, but smooth linear travel. It's longer than the ODS spring though, so I'm not sure which shocks it's compatible with other than the Stratos.

I'll also have the Stratos shock for sale in the near future too. I'll post here first, once I get some pics, etc. Then of to eBay it goes...

You lot probably know all of this already................

I reckon this Eibach spring is (almost) certainly a "Speedspring" from "MountainSpeed" and was the most popular spring conversion for MCU equipped ODS shocks and came complete with new spring seats as a kit.
I've got these on my XP-X (856).
an MS PRO-7 on the Rear
and
an MS PRO-4 on the front
Both are rated as "X-firm" for someone weighing 200+lbs (which I used to!) and they are very firm, probably far too  much, but as I use the XP-X as my ride to work road bike, that's not an issue.

These springs were not sold with lb/in spring rates defined, merely rider weight and "soft, medium, firm, X-firm" ratings.

I would suggest that a MS PRO-5 would be suitable as a rear spring for someone weighing 130 -170lb i.e. equivalent to a NB2-250
if used as a front spring it would be very firm unless you weighed at least 230lb.......

IMHO........

Oh yeah, and I can occasionally get Titanium springs to fit ODS or Noleen units..................
