new bumpy monkey

So, waited a year and got the bumpy monkey. Overall I am very pleased. However, the bumpy is a beast in climbing, Why? is it the geometry or the weight? new forks or lighter components? I also don't care for this rear shock, Risse factory is 5 miles from my front door. What do you guys think?

Kind of hard to determine where your problem lies without knowing what components you have on your bike. Also, it might help to know what you were riding before you got the Monkey.
