one of the best mods on these bikes is a full length cable housing from frame right through the swingarm to the rear d.....

Agreed. I've done that to mine and it works like a charm. Difficult to keep the cable from working it's way up though. I have a zip tie glued in place just outside of either cable stop (which are drilled out) but when I take the rear shock off and forget to support the swingarm, it always pulls one of them out of place. Still worth it though...

You guys rock...

I got reading this before my last ride and sure enough, the rear brake and rear der. cables were inverted. I moved the rear der cable to the upper bosses and shifting got mo betta.

This also made for better routing of the rear disk cable. It's more clear of the crankset now. Wahoo.

Thanks
Will

cheers guys, bl00dy obvious in hindsite - gears shift near enough perfectly now thanks to increasing the cable housing between frame and swingarm. Just need to get a shorter axel BB and the drivetrain will be ideal.

Now to get another shock or the Stratos XCpro rebuilt.

cheers

Hi Junkster,

if you are riding the South Downs does that mean you are UK South Coast based?

Both Simon and I are (Petersfield and Gosport) and the Southdowns are our regular riding territory.

We keep meaning the get all the UK Proflexers together for a ride one day - are you interested?

Drop us a line
