My 252 crossbike is completed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
http://idriders.com/cgi-bin/album_k2.pl?photo=proflex252/CIMG1008k.jpg
Some more pics in my gallery.
As far as I know it was the first full suspension cross bike ever.
And I had the chance to get such a frame. Brand new, but 8 years old that time.
It took me 5 years to build it up (ok, much of idleing) So it's 13 now.
Now it's ready to ride and it runs and runs and runs perfectly. I never was that fast on the road.
Does anybody know if there were some other fully crossbike earlier or later?
And how long did proflex produce such bikes?

For sure there was a 254. I know as I have one and it is in my gallery. I ride it often and it is a smooth riding machine. I get a lot of "what is that" type of looks.

I have a bike almost like yuors from around 1990 or so I just refinished it and I'm trying ti get decals. Where did you get the proflex decal on the lower tubes of the 252?
Thanks,
Marc

From nowhere!
Because it is the original decal, as the frame was 8 years old but brandnew as I bought it 5 years ago. And it took me all the 5 years to find time to complete it.
But if you want I could make some closeup pics of the decals and give you the dimensions of it. You just have to give me your email and I'll send you the pics.
They are not difficult decals, so you should be able to find a copychop who can print you some.
And of course, if the bike is ready I definitely want to see some pics of your bike in the galleries!!!!!!!! OK?

Wow, desperately want to get hold of one of these proflex cross frames, any vintage (I'm assuming there is a 252, 253, 254, anyone know of any others?) as I'm up to three proflexes (955, 957, animal) and was thinking of building up a cross bike at some point...
If any of you guys are selling, let me know, and if anyone sees one advertised let me know too! Your bikes all look great :-)
Many thanks,
Ian
