Noleen Crosslink dual crown?
« on: April 25, 2005, 04:57:17 pm »
Hello all, I have an '01 Klein Attitude and I want to get a crosslink fork for it, but Klein says I shouldn't put a dual crown fork on it.  Does anyone know the stresses put on the frame by the crosslink compared to a traditional dual crown fork?

I remember back in the day when Vector forks where sold as after market XC forks, though they are in away a dual crown fork they do have a linkage system and are aimed more at the XC market, so in answer to your question I personally would have no worries fitting a X-link to your frame,
Simon.

Thanks for the reply.  I got an email back from Klein, of whom I asked the same question.

"We cannot advise use of dual crown forks on our
Attitude frames.  We do not perform testing with dual crown forks.
While it is unlikely any structural damage would occur through use of a
Noleen Crosslink style fork, please keep in mind if you decide to equip
your frame with a dual crown fork, it can potentially void your frame
owners warranty."

I guess I didn't expect anything more.

I can't wait to get the crosslink; my manitou mars is suffering from wet noodle syndrome on the very rocky trails here in PA.
