K2 Sidewinder

Thought you might find this interesting - a K2 bike that UKers probably have never seen (or maybe you have).  It's a K2 Sidewinder.

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=98083&item=7147025942&rd=1&tc=photo

At first glance, it looks like a killer deal - it can be bought for under $300 (US) and it has disc brakes!!

Then you start noticing the details - the discs are Promax crap that are almost not brakes a all, the fork is the horrible Rockshox Judy TT, the wheels have single wall PLASTIC rims, it has a 7 speed Tourney derailleur, and the total rear wheel travel is under 3 inches!!!

I asked K2 about it - it is a bike sold exclusively in the states through a sporting goods chain "Gart Sports".

From a distance, though, it almost looks Proflexy.
