Long Travel Kit for Proflex 955

Hi Guys,
I'm currently rebuilding my old World Cup 955 and have been toying with the idea of getting a long travel kit for the rear. But after searching this forum I gather they are no longer made, and any that Callum had were snatched up long ago.
If I can't locate one to fit I was toying with the idea of building one from scratch.
Has this been done before? I've only ever seen a small photo of what they look like, not much to go on really. Does anyone have a closer picture of the LTK? or a diagram maybe?

all the swingarms are the same,so can use your swingarm as a "scale" to tale surprisingly accurate measurements from the picture

My kid(evil genius) did something for me.
Export this foto to Paint, convert to black and white, highlite forground and background to expose silohett(spelling). Zoom in on section you want and print on graphpaper. You can then scale accurately.

Will give the photopaint thing a shot, I'd really like to take a closer look at one for pivot details etc.
Question- are the two linkages joined together anywhere other than where they connect to the frame, swingarm and strut??
Question 2- From the picture it looks like the ltk is made of 4 separate pieces bolted together- is this correct?
Question 3- Any suggestions on possible materials and thickness?
I'm going to start tinkering this weekend

Calling anyone who has access to photos of an LTK on a 955 or 856 etc, or even on it's own. I'm just doing my shopping for materials etc & I don't really have enough info to go on yet!!
I'm guesstimating the measurements at the moment & oversizing everything slightly so I can always file/gind/saw down the excess
Cheers guys [smiley=beer.gif]

How much travel do you end up with using the LTK
The mod I've started on the 856 frame I aquired so far is giving 5.5"+ of travel if using a 1.5" stroke shock, and around 4.5" travel with a 1" stroke shock, going by the first mock up I've done.
Simon.

Hi Simon,
I've heard the LTK will give you 4-5 inches of travel depending on the state of your ODS Elastomers or spring. I read about your project with interest- sounds like a great mod but maybe a little beyond my current engineering skills [smiley=worry.gif]
What is really appealing to me about the LTK system is that it's removable. So I don't have to permanently alter my beloved 955 frame and if I like I can take it off in minutes if I want to do some cross country riding
Would love to see some pics of your 856 after you're done though
Cheers, [smiley=beer.gif]
