Help removing molten elastomers from carpet.
« on: December 28, 2004, 06:51:20 am »
OK. I was taking my spare 855 to my friends place so I could remove the BB to put in the 955. (Bike shops are all shut for christmas so I couldn't get a new one and the sealed headset on my epic exploded the day before, so it was my only chance of staying on hte trails)

Anyway, on the drive over, about 10min, the elastomers decided to they would do their thing and melt alll through the back of the car. I'll put some pics up soon. It certainly didn't feel overly warm in the car.

Has anyone else (I'm sure theres someone) had the misfortune to have to remove this stuff from carpet? If so how did you do it.
